Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to visit your office twice a year if I don’t have any oral health issues?
We highly recommend that you do. Rather than treating an oral health concern that has already advanced to the severe stages, these six-month checkups give us an opportunity to prevent many common oral health concerns and diagnose others in the earliest stages.
Can I bring my kids to visit Doc LJ?
Of course. Dr. LJ Adam is great with young patients and he offers gentle, attentive children’s dentistry services that make every young patient feel as comfortable as possible throughout their time in our office.
What if I have an emergency?
Please call Dr. LJ right away if you experience a dental emergency. We’re always happy to help our patients of record with same-day appointments, and we can sometimes offer new patients appointments on the day they contact us as well.
How does a dentist help with sleep apnea?
While we complete our sleep apnea therapy in partnership with sleep physicians, Dr. LJ can provide a gentle, comfortable treatment option, using oral appliances.
What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal disease is better known by the name gum disease, and it occurs when plaque and tartar buildup at the gum line destroys the supportive gum and bone tissue around teeth. We offer a variety of therapies to renew oral health for those patients suffering from gum disease.
What is CEREC?
CEREC literally stands for chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramics. The system itself is used to allow our team to design, craft, and place dental restorations in a single appointment.
Do you take my insurance?
We are happy to work with patients to maximize their dental insurance benefits. If you have specific questions about your coverage, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’ll do our utmost to carefully explain your treatment options and how your insurance will cover each option.
